Welcome to the student portal This portal provides links to resources to support you on your interprofessional clinical placement at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

Medicine, nursing and pharmacy students from the University of Western Australia will be undertaking interprofessional clinical placements at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. There is opportunity in this clinical placement to learn 'with, from and about' other health professional students and see 'first hand' how interprofessional collaboration can improve health care.

Medical and nursing students will have discipline specific and interprofessional objectives to meet whilst on clinical placement. Student learning activities for all students will include case based discussions, interaction in ambulatory clinics, assessing patients and formulating care plans, student tutorials, and home visiting. Students will be supported on clinical placement by a Nurse Educator (nursing) and Teaching Registrar (medicine) who will provide discipline specific and cross discipline support. Pharmacy students on placement will be supported through a Pharmacist.
