The information for students undertaking a placement in the Beyond the Teaching Nursing Home – Clinical Learning environment is located here.

Medicine, podiatric medicine and nursing students from the University of Western Australia and nursing students from Central Institute of Technology and West Coast Institute of Training will be attending the clinical learning environment at Bethanie Joondanna. Student learning activities may include clinical skill development in the simulated ward environment, training sessions held in the seminar/training room and/or clinical placements undertaken in the adjacent hostels.

All students attending the clinical learning environment must review the Clinical Learning Environment Handbook and the Bethanie Student Induction Pack.

Bethanie student induction pack

Within the Bethanie Student Induction Pack students are required to complete an occupational health and safety induction quiz, an induction checklist, an affirmation of confidentiality form and a computer use form. Completed documents should be provided to your facilitator.

 

Clinical Learning Environment Handbook

Within the Clinical Learning Environment Handbook students are required to complete an orientation checklist and a student declaration form. Completed documents should be provided to your facilitator. A site orientation will be provided on your first visit to the Clinical Learning Environment.
