We are seeking volunteers in the Perth metropolitan area to act as patient models for student doctors.

Volunteering

We are seeking people over the age of 18 to act as patient models for medical students at The University of Western Australia. Students will be assessed on their clinical skills by performing a range of basic health examinations on patients (e.g. taking blood pressure).

Volunteers will be examined by a supervised medical student in a clinical setting.

• No treatment will be offered
• All tests are non-invasive (e.g. no needles)
• Sessions run intermittently throughout the teaching year and each session runs for approximately 2hrs
• A small remuneration is available to cover travel and parking costs

People suffering from a chronic illness (e.g. heart disease, diabetes, asthma etc) are encouraged to apply.
