This diploma assists clinical practitioners and clinical managers to conduct and interpret clinical research and to plan, deliver and evaluate health services. It draws in particular on the research disciplines of epidemiology and health economics while emphasising the application of these disciplines in the clinical setting.

Admission requirements

Entry to the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology requires on or more of the following

  • a three-year bachelor's degree in the area of health science from this University, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty
  • satisfactory completion of the Graduate Certificate in Health Studies of this University or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty
  • satisfactory completion of the requirements for Graduate Certificate in Public Health or the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Epidemiology
  • a level of education and a duration and level of professional experience which, in the opinion of the Faculty, would enable the applicant to complete the course
