This coursework Master’s degree provides the student with an extension of theoretical and clinical knowledge in podiatric medicine and surgery beyond that delivered within the four-year Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine (BPodM) degree.

Additional training is provided in biostatistics and research methodology so that the graduate may better understand and interpret published clinical research, together with the practical aspects of extended patient care.

Course outline

The course by way of coursework and dissertation consists of 9 units to a total value of 72 points

(a) All Core units - 42 points

and (b) one unit from the following list of Options - 6 points

and (c) All Core units — 24 points

Admission requirements

Admission to the Master of Podiatric Medicine requires the following:

  • Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine from this University or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty
  • a minimum of one year's relevant work experience
