Already completed
a UWA degree?

If you would like to do honours or a fourth-year specialist degree in the same area as your pass degree, contact the Honours or Fourth-year Program Co-ordinator in your discipline for application procedures.

If you want to return to a partially completed, or undertake a new second UWA Bachelor's degree, you need to apply through TISC / the Admissions Centre as a "second degree applicant".

If you have completed a BA and would like to do another Arts degree at UWA, you can apply for the Bachelor of Letters. Likewise, if you have completed a BSc and would like to undertake another Science degree, you can apply for the Bachelor of Science and Technology.

We have two intakes of undergraduate students each year: first and second semester.

Australian citizens or permanent residents (including humanitarian visa holders) and New Zealand citizens should apply for admission through the following:

First semester entry

Apply through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre for first semester entry. Applications for first semester 2010 entry close on Wednesday 30 September 2009.

Late applications for most courses will be accepted (with a late fee) until Friday 27 November 2009. However, late applications are not accepted for Medicine and Dentistry.

After 27 November 2009, you should contact the UWA Admissions Centre for advice.

Second semester entry

Apply through the UWA Admissions Centre for second semester entry.

Applications open at the beginning of April and usually close at the end of May.

After the closing date, please contact the Admissions Centre for advice.

Commenced but not completed a degree at UWA

If you have previously commenced but not completed a degree at UWA, you may be eligible to re-enrol in your original degree or apply to transfer into another course.

Enrolled at another Australian university

If you are already enrolled in an undergraduate degree at another Australian university, you may be able to enrol in some units at UWA that will be credited to your degree.

  • You should first check with your home university that the units you wish to study at UWA (your host university) will be accepted.
  • You then need to complete an application for cross-institutional enrolment, which should be available from student administration at your home university.

For more information you can contact UWA Student Administration or the relevant Faculty office.
