The rural entry scheme includes applicants from Australia's eastern states.
There is a special sub-quota of medical and dental places for those applicants who fit the criteria as rural applicants.
You are eligible for consideration as a rural applicant if your principal home address has been in a defined rural area of Australia (RRMA 3-7) for a minimum period of five years (consecutive or cumulative) from commencement of primary school. You can find information about the RRMA system at the Federal Government's Bonded Medical Place Scheme website.
Applicants who believe they fit the rural definition will need to submit a rural eligibility form to the Faculty by 30 September 2009.
Rural eligibility application forms for 2010 entry for a standard or non-standard applicant are available below.
