The Faculty acknowledges the importance of having students from diverse backgrounds. 

There is therefore a Broadway Direct Pathway available for domestic school leavers for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) and the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).

Applicants apply through TISC. 2018 applications (for 2019 commencement) have now closed.

Successful applicants will receive a conditional place in either the MD or the DMD:

  • A Direct Pathway place in the MD and DMD is conditional upon successful completion of a UWA bachelor degree with a minimum Faculty Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 5.5.

The Broadway Direct Pathway is available to domestic students who have undertaken their entire Year 12 studies, including WACE, at a selected UWA Broadway school)

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must meet eligibility requirements to apply for this pathway.

Quota:

  • DMD - Approximately 3 places available
  • MD - Approximately 30 places available including Bonded Medical Places (BMP) [28.5% of all places will be allocated BMPs]

Application Process:

  • Applicants are required to lodge a TISC application.
  • Applications for 2019 entry to a school leaver pathway position have now closed.
  • Applicants were required to submit the Broadway Eligibility Form by 28 September 2018. 
  • Western Australian applicants are also required to submit the Predicted ATAR form by 30 October 2018.

Final Ranking:

  • Final ranking is based on UMAT, ATAR and Interview and will be weighted 1:2:2 respectively

Deferrals:

  •  Applicants may defer their offer of a place for 1-year provided no tertiary study is undertaken during that year. Deferral conditions can be viewed here
