Application forms for International graduate applicants



There is a Graduate Pathway to the Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) and the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm). 

Applicants apply for the MD, DMD, DPM and MPharm in 2017 for 2018 entry through UWA central Admissions.  Applications for 2018 entry open early March and close on 31 May 2017 for the MD, DMD and MPharm and 30 September 2017 for the DPM.

Standard Pathway:


  • DMD - Approximately 5 places available in 2017 (for 2018 entry)
  • MD - Approximately 20 places available in 2017 (for 2018 entry)
  • DPM - Approximately 5 places available in 2017 (for 2018 entry)
  • MPharm - A number of places available.

Application process:


  • GAMSAT and/or MCAT results for the MD and DMD (2017 applications for 2018 entry) are required to be submitted by 31 May 2017
  • GAMSAT and/or MCAT results for the DPM (2017 applications for 2018 entry) are required to be submitted by 30 September 2017.  Please note that applicants who apply for the DPM as well as the MD, DMD and/or MPharm will need to submit their GAMSAT results by the MD/DMD/MPharm application deadline of 31 May 2017.
  • Applicants who will receive MCAT results slightly after the deadline should contact the Faculty for eligibility advice.

Final ranking:

  • Final ranking for the MD and DMD is based equally on GAMSAT/MCAT, GPA and Interview
  • Final ranking for the DPM is based equally on GAMSAT/MCAT and GPA (there is no interview for the DPM)
  • Final ranking for the MPharm is based equally on GPA and Interview (there is no GAMSAT/MCAT requirement for MPharm).


  • Students are not normally able to defer a place in the DMD, DPM or MPharm
  • Students in the MD may be eligible to defer their offer for one year.
