As part of the selection process for the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), applicants will be required to undertake a Spatial Awareness Test.

Applicants to the Doctor of Medicine (MD), the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) and the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) are not required to undertake this test.

Spatial Awareness Test

The Spatial Awareness Test is approximately a 40-45 minute paper-and-pencil test produced by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).  The test will be undertaken by applicants when they attend their selection interview and will be assessed on a 2-grade marking system (pass/fail).  The test will not be used in final ranking of applicants; however applicants will need to have passed the test in order to be included on the final ranked list.

Manual Dexterity Test

The Manual Dexterity Test is no longer used as part of the admissions process into the DMD.
