As a guide, the total sum available is $206,000 and it is anticipated that individual grants will not exceed $30,000. Grants will be for one year only and will not be provided to fund the personal salary of the chief investigator but for research assistance, equipment and/or consumables.
In accordance with the terms of the bequest the funds are to be used for research into asthma.
Applications should address the following criteria:
Applications should not exceed 3000 words and should include a budget identifying sums requested for salary support, consumables and equipment.
Special consideration will be given to early career applicants or those within two years of appointment to UWA or within five years of PhD completion and not currently in receipt of a national competitive grant. Please provide this information in your application.
Applications will be reviewed by the Faculty Research Committee.
Staff should hold an appointment to a tenurable position or a contract of at least three years duration. Teaching and research staff holding clinical or adjunct appointments at Associate Professor level (Level C) or above on the basis of a contract of at least three years duration are also eligible.
