Placement agencies 2008

Agency information

Agencies host students once a year. The Program is not ongoing throughout the year.

No extra duties are required of agency staff other than to allow the medical students to observe and interact with staff and clients were appropriate. For example, this may be to accompany staff on home visits or clinic appointments.

The total placement time for students is 12 to 15 hours, usually over a two-day period during the first semester.

All administrative arrangements are undertaken by UWA staff.

Agency staff are not required to assess or evaluate the students during their placement.

Insurance, police screening, confidentiality, code of conduct issues
