Seeing how health workers communicate in reality, not idealised scenarios. The interaction between doctors and patients - patients value and require that more than tangible stuff.
It was excellent for first years because the focus was on communication, history taking (patient consultation) etc, not diagnosis. The longer consultations were good to get a strong experience in communication.

It was a very worthwhile experience and the health professionals were very accommodating of our needs. It was a great opportunity to observe other aspects of the health system and appreciate the work that they do.

I feel it is an extremely valuable experience as it gives the students an insight into community partnerships and our role.
The students willingly attended patient treatments (home visits) and showed interest in the role of therapists / the service, and communicated well with staff and patients.
The student was a delight to have in the clinic and the clients responded well to her. I'm sure she will do well in her practice.
