All doctors teach. This workshop introduces the concepts of adult learning in the clinical setting and the need to plan teaching encounters.

Workshop objectives

Participants will be able to:

• improve teaching by recognising opportunities in your clinical setting;
• incorporate principles about teaching and learning in your teaching;
• give effective feedback;
• increase confidence in teaching ability.

Workshop activities

Includes a review of teaching and learning experiences, video critiquing, presentation practice, positive critiquing.
